That he is not the Donald Trump of India.
I am a Master's student in USA and was frankly surprised when I first saw this comparison. There was HUGE criticism of Indians saying how hypocritical we are to oppose Trump while voting for our own version (Narendra Modi) back home. I would have ignored it but similar views were expressed by a few Indians on Quora too.
This is a classic example of False Equivalence. The only similarity is that they are both fielded by Right-Wing parties of the respective countries. The similarities end right there.
The list could go on and on but I hope people get my drift. They are two individuals as different as any two persons. Just because they are both "strongmen" (which itself is false) and speak their mind, they don't automatically become the same.
Stop guilt shaming us with false analogies. We never voted for a Trump and never will.

- Modi came from the lowest rung of Indian society (Economically and socially). Everything he is today is a result of his insane hard work and perseverance. Trump was born into riches and for a good part of his life enjoyed himself greatly.
- Modi already proved himself for three terms as Chief Minister of Gujarat. Trump is a business man with no prior political experience.
- Modi had a solid Manifesto for what he intended to do if he was elected. His track record helped too. Rivals, Moderators and people keep asking for Trump's policy. He keeps replying with insults and boasts.
- Trump's campaign is one of the most dividing and Hateful campaign I have seen for someone contesting for such a powerful position. He irked every minority community. Modi during his PM campaign never made such remarks against his own people.
- Modi is a humble man by nature. Trump is extremely arrogant.

AN OPEN LETTER TO JNU, INDIA, FROM A HINDU WHO IS LEAVING INDIA FOREVER!
DUE TO INTOLERANCE.
TWITTER TAG: #HINDULEAVINGINDIA
(I have explained the following answer in detail at GO Clown|India's biggest comedy in Literature|Get High Legally! And also, I can be reached there.)
I try my hardest not to be political. I didn’t want to risk any personal goodwill by appearing to take sides in a contentious issue. I thought: ‘Maybe the timing is not right.’ But I realize now that there is no correct time to oppose hypocrisy and prejudice.
I recently spoke to a friend of mine who belonged to a caste which obtains the maximum reservation (I wasn't aware of this, until he told me). He told me that Kanhaiya Kumar is being propped by Congress and invoking his caste was wrong. He said they were trying to do so in order to create trouble for Modi's governance.
I met another Tamil colleague (highly educated one) who told me that educated Tamils have stopped voting for DMK. The DMK tried to provoke Tamil's into being against Hindi, all the while they established an empire in Tamilnadu, becoming multi-millionaires through corruption (Thanks to Congress, 2G & the coalition formula). And those poor folks who did not learn Hindi had issues relocating to other parts of India, for a good paying IT job.
In India "Talk is very cheap!". Everyone is ready to make speeches and we portray them as heroes. Come on you and me can also make a speech like that, the only difference being the media will not propagate it (I sincerely request you to share (Retweet/Share, not like on Twitter/Facebook) this, (only) if this touches your heart).
How about stop making a new hero everyday (only to be forgotten, along with the media wave) and talking of someone who achieved something through his work?
I think Kanhaiya Kumar as a person is just a simple young man indoctrinated by the radical Leftist ideology. If he weren't famous as he is now due to all the drama, we would have assumed him to be just another college student when we meet him.
Kanhaiya Kumar is just a name, a puppet in the strings of the Leftist structure, which again is controlled by the mother ship Congress.
If there is no fear for minorities, fear based on caste struggles like the Patel quota, Jat quota, Kapu quota (in AP), regional divisions, India would be discussing about roads, electricity etc. etc. And Congress would be out of power forever. All these unwanted and unnecessary dramatics whether it is Kanhaiya or some other Kumar is noise that is being generated to drown out a discussion on development.
My whole family for generations have been congress loyalists. My uncles were hard-core Congress workers. Our grandparents adored Indira Gandhi, with a huge portrait of her, adorning our verandah. My generation was the first to take a break from this, and me, besides all my cousins voted for Modi, signalling the shift of a new India. We never bothered for his caste or religion. It didn't matter to us.
It doesn't matter if BJP is in power or not. But such nonsensical issues of no importance to the development of India are like Oxygen for all regional parties in India, besides Congress.
There is a problem on the other side too, Except for Modi and a few leaders on the right they do not have a strategy to deflect the deep divisions, the Congress and other parties want to propagate based on caste, region and a fear environment for the minorities.
Extreme Hindutva is not a solution. Trying to unite India based on Hinduism, is definitely their move to counter the deep divisions setup by Congress for 60 years on the basis of caste. Better to have 2 or 3 India's , rather than having 20-25 India's or separate countries called Telangana or Maharashtra, as played out by the regional parties. And the ideal situation is to achieve an India where every man, woman and anyone irrespective of their religion, caste, orientation e...

The World should know that:
- Donald Trump is a billionaire Businessman turned novice politician, while Narendra Modi has grown up selling tea in the trains of India
- Donald Trump has said that he would stop Muslim immigration, while Narendra Modi has appointed M.J Akbar a muslim as the National Spokesperson of BJP (yes, so people who think he is communal eat Hajmola to digest this)
- After 23 years, a Muslim is appointed as the permanent representative of India to United Nations in 2016. This should help you remove the notion of communal. Syed Akbar is a very highly regarded Indian Foreign service officer. He deserved to be in that position.
- In the last two years, more roads are built under the leadership of Narendra Modi, than the preceding 6 years. This should tell you that Modi is a tough task master when needed.
- Modi's Government has opened 170 Million bank accounts (yes 170 million) in the rural and semi urban areas in only 12 months. This enables they get the subsidies and benefits from the government directly into their accounts hence eliminating middle men and giving full benefit to the end receivers. This should tell you his acumen in operations and understanding of rural sections of the country and the problems they face.
- Its the major section of media which hates Modi because after he started in power all the undue benefits the media personnel used to get is stopped. In the earlier governments Media personnel used to travel along with the PM internationally to cover their meetings. Used to get goodies for every meetings, Cheese and Wine parties to keep in good books. Now Modi ensures only the government media travels on the government money and the private media is free to travel using their own organization funds and have parties as well on their funds. This didnt digest well to the Media houses. This should tell you he will take tough stand when he knows it is right and does not bother about what the media thinks.
There are many many more points to tell about him. In the last two year I am more proud to be Indian than ever before.
BTW, In the last two years you would not have heard about corruption. Unlike in the preceding 10 years. Thank you Modi!!
Discipline & Respect - Recently he spotted respecting fellow parliamentarian
Courage - Hoisted Indian Flag at Srinagar's Lal Chowk on 26 January, 1992 under challenging circumstances giving befitting reply to anti nation elements.
Nation is above politics - When Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif called Dr.Manmohan Singh, the then Indian PM a 'dehati aurat',village woman, this is what Narendra Modi replied.
In video he is saying "Dr.Manmohan Singh is prime minister of 1.25 billion people, Nawaz Sharif, how dare you call him a village woman"
Making it large - He respects Indian ancient tradition & culture, he strives to pass it the world.
Yoga day is an example of this, The declaration of this day came after the call for the adoption of June 21 as International Day of Yoga by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014
1. Mr. Narendra Modi loves writing poem. He writes in Gujarati language and also has published some books written by him. He also love photography and had held an exhibition showing his collections of photographs clicked by him.
2. Modi was always fond of Hindutva philosophy. When he was a teenager, he went to Himalayas alone and stayed there for 2 years with Yogi Sadhus and learnt the philosophy of Hindutva.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a patriot since childhood. During 1965 Indo-Pak war, he volunteered to serve the soldiers going in the war at the railway stations. He also served the flood affected people of Gujarat in 1967.
4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a three month course in US on public relations and image management. This could be one reason behind his success in positioning himself as one of the most popular politician of the world.
5. Narendra Modi is a teetotaller. He doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke. He is a complete vegetarian.
6. Narendra Modi is the most Popular politician in India by huge distance. His Twitter account has more than 6 Million followers. He is the most popular Indian politician on Facebook and 8th most popular among all Indian celebrity on Twitter.
Check out Narendra Modi (@narendramodi): https://twitter.com/narendramodi...
7. Yes! Narendra Modi is married. His parents arranged his marriage when he was a child, at 13 he was engaged and by 18 he got married. They spent very little time together and were soon estranged because Modi decided to pursue an itinerant life.
8. In many Interview he stated that he don’t sleep much. 5 hours is maximum duration he sleeps. He wake up by 5:30 in any case, irrespective of when he hits the bed.
9. We all are aware of Narendra Modi’s love for Technology. Every morning he log in to his system and read everything written about him or anything that matters to him. This way he could know for what he is being criticized or praised.
10. We know that Narendra Modi is choosy about his wardrobe collection, and recently we got to know that all his clothes are of one brand Jade Blue which is a Ahmedabad based textile company.
It is not easy being Narendra Modi.
On one hand, he has to carry on his shoulders the weight of expectations of millions of Indians, the burden of their hope and sorrow.
On the other hand, the evil media-left lib-academia nexus is out with knives, just waiting for him to turn his back towards them.
And yet, the 65 year old man continues to work indefatigably, for 18 hours a day days, seven days a week, while a 'youth icon' of 46 disappears on a 57 day retreat and the chronic whiner of 47 indulges in Wellness therapies at a 5-star Yoga retreat in Bangalore!

-Narendra Modi or Namo was elected by about 31% of Indians in 2014

-he has a vision for India to make it a strong and prosperous nation with much better standard of living of its people
-he stopped free benefits to Media and free business benefits to NGO trustees. These people have turned strong opposition to him
-Congress ruled India for more than 60 years and planted it's people every where from media to education, from beauracasy to NGO, from public sector to private business who along with their family benefitted financially and became strong. These people are now opposing the honest changes being done
-Namo inspires millions of youth, guides millions of people across India. He is fantastic orator and connect with everyone across the world from top leaders to religious people
